used to playing more of a supporting role, this time, theo assumes the lead since he now has Alexandra Briarwood by his side, ready to support him in his efforts whether they be his own or team rocket's.[break][break]

Who hadn’t heard of the Kyurem event? The details remain elusive to her, but she can reason it out well enough. All these ‘events’ were the same in Hoenn. Maybe she should have stayed in Johto.

She’s cautious, but curious. The Great Chasm isn’t like anything she’s ever seen before. It’s an ugly scar in the ground, deep and dangerous. Yet, it sparkles with mesmerizing beauty, like being trapped inside a diamond.

“Area Zero?” Dumb name, “The League name it?” Probably.

Lex let her gaze wander while keeping her footing on the uneven terrain, “Some crystals, huh?” Sounds easy enough. Lex wasn’t too familiar with the terasal phenomenon. She has been preoccupied for quite some time, “What’s the catch?” There is always a catch in Hoenn.

The nimbly hops between the uneven stones, taking a short detour to perch on top of a little rock outcropping, giving her a better view of the terrain ahead. It didn’t help much, the large crystals were like a maze, obscuring them from seeing too far in along the path they traveled.

“Must be some pretty big risks then,” or else they would have just sent grunts, not an Underboss and an Ex-Beast, “Or these crystals are pretty valuable,” Lex lacks the knowledge associated with the Tera Crystals. She hasn’t found a use for them, quite yet.

She winds up back by Theo’s side, keeping pace, “Current Beasts don’t cut it?” If he needed her there was something very wrong. Lex was good, but not that good. She certainly had her weaknesses.

the safer alternative is to wait for reports to trickle back to him but he has found that approach to be tedious. he has grown impatient, now preferring to take matters into his own hands.[break][break]

Alexandra Briarwood's question is met with a shrug.[break][break]

"they have their own agendas which makes things more...complicated. the only agenda you have that i'm aware of is deoxys. that makes it easier to rely on you."

Theo’s logic is sound, she can’t argue that. She has one agenda, and he holds one piece of information key to the accomplishment of it. That made her an easy person to understand and, as he put it, rely on.

“Fair,” she agrees, shoving her hands in her pockets while she watches a shadow stretch out from below her and snap ahead of them as recon, “So, where do we find these Tera Crystals? They kinda look like . . . they’re everywhere,” are there special veins? Specific colors? The quicker they finished this the better.

Lex also didn’t quite care why the crystals had to measure a certain length and width. She had learned a long time ago it was better to not ask questions - just do the job and do it right. She was a good little foot soldier like that. Until you pissed her off, then there was an abyss of a grudge to transverse.

“On it,” she responded to both the search for crystals and for keeping her guard up. The ghost that slipped away was scouting the area of potential threats. Lex started sifting through crystals opposite of Theo, inspecting each with a critical gaze before tossing the small ones aside and bagging the ones that looked like they fit the description.

She remained silent, as usual, while she worked. She wasn't one to freely offer more of herself than was required.

for the rest of their expedition down here, all feels simple. the only worry he has is for their safety, but with Alexandra Briarwood's watchful eyes along with his, their mission goes uninterrupted.[break][break]

it feels reminiscent to his time in kanto, except back then they were shoveling EVOLUTION STONES instead of TERA CRYSTALS. the world seemed so peaceful in comparison.[break][break]

when their bags are full, they make their leave.
